Creating

Songwriting
1.    Translate the song into another language.            [10]
2.    Compose a new, original song for children that relates to worry or being anxious. Your song must have at least 2 verses and a chorus.
3.    Notate the melody and lyrics of both songs.
4.    Add Guitar chords of both songs.
5.    Create or take a picture to beautify the sheet music of your original composition and make it user-friendly.
6.    Save the sheet music as a pdf file.
7.    Add a Creative Commons license.
                                                                      [10]

Performing
Record your two songs (translated and original) and submit your recordings as an mp3.

Reflecting

Reflect on your experience of the fifth learning experience by writing a narrative based on the prompts below.
  • Could you tell a story of a peak experience while creating OER resources?
  • Could you tell a story of challenges during this week’s assignment?
  • What in this learning experience (including freewriting, responding on the blog post, analysing an existing children’s song, writing your own song related to happiness and recording your song) did you find valuable? This can include skills, knowledge, experiences, insights etc.
  • Do you think you would use the resources on the website in your own teaching or maybe in another context?
